ABOUT

Princess Booker

Princess Booker is a children’s author, cultural storyteller, and founder of the brand Nine Mile Babies. Her work celebrates Caribbean heritage through joyful, educational stories that connect children to identity, culture, and family traditions.

Born into the Booker–Marley family, Princess is the granddaughter of Cedella Marley Booker, the matriarch whose wisdom, music, and storytelling shaped one of Jamaica’s most influential cultural lineages. Growing up with her grandmother’s teachings, Princess’s childhood was rich with memories of Nine Mile, St. Ann—the heart of her family’s roots.

Those early experiences inspired her beloved children’s series “Grandma, What’s That?”, which introduces young readers to Caribbean culture through warmth, humor, and authentic representation.

As an entrepreneur, Princess has expanded her mission beyond books through Nine Mile Babies, creating toys, activity books, bilingual editions, educational guides, and cultural workshops—including the first children’s sessions on the Welcome to Jamrock Cruise.

Princess’s work continues the storytelling spirit of her grandmother, honoring the Booker–Marley legacy while building her own path as a cultural educator and creator.
