About us
Nine Mile Babies, founded by Princess Booker, granddaughter of Cedella Marley-Booker, is a children's brand dedicated to celebrating diversity and culture through books and toys.
Our mission is to empower children of colour with meaningful representation, boosting self-esteem, confidence, and cultural appreciation. Through inclusive storytelling and authentic depictions, we help children build positive self-identities while encouraging a love for learning and play.
We also support parents by providing tools and resources to create a more diverse and inclusive world, ensuring every child, regardless of race sees themselves reflected in the stories they read and the toys they cherish.
"From the colourful hummingbirds that flit through the air to the sweet mangos that grow on the trees. There's so much to discover in this magical place."

A Brand Like No Other
Nine Mile Babies is the only children's brand that blends Caribbean culture, diversity, and storytelling with a powerful family legacy. Rooted in Nine Mile, Jamaica—Bob Marley’s birthplace, we are more than a brand. We are a movement bringing authentic representation to children’s books and toys.

Our Why
We recognise the challenge parents face with the lack of diversity in toys and media for Black and mixed-race children, which limits their perspectives and reinforces stereotypes.
We also understand how difficult it can be to find toys that truly represent a child’s identity.
To help, we’ve created a collection of high-quality soft toys with diverse melanin tones and popular afro hairstyles, allowing children to relate and feel represented. Along with picture books that explore the world, teaching children about different cultures and inclusion.
